Optometric Equipment, models, skulls and other equipment
Optometric equipment and human anatomical models are available for checkout but cannot be loaned out for more than three hours.
Library staff members are always available to assist. ICO librarians can guide you in searching the ICO Library catalogs, journals, digital content, and databases to which we subscribe. The focus of ICO Library is vision science material, but ICO librarians can help locate other medical and more general information. We also provide research, citation and homework help. Ask a librarian!
Physical copies of reserve books are available for checkout for a maximum of three hours. Renewals are not permitted on this material. Some reserve books are also available via R2 Digital Library. For log-in information, see the side-bar on my.ico.edu/library.
Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services
If there is something that you cannot locate within our collection, ask a librarian for assistance. If the book or article is not found in the ICO Library, the Library will borrow it when possible.
There are 15 computers located around the atrium on the second floor, and four on the first floor of the Library for general student use. Two of the first-floor computers are available for guest use. All guests must have prior permission from the Library Director to use the ICO Library. A multi-function printer/scanner/copier/fax machine is also available on each floor. College-related work always takes precedence over other activities. Please see a member of the Library staff with questions.
Issues beyond basic troubleshooting should be referred to the IS Helpdesk, by calling ext. 7500 or emailing email@example.com. The College policy regarding blocked websites is available from the ICO IS department.
Non-monetary gifts and donations are accepted by the ICO Library by prior arrangement only. Please contact the ICO Library Director prior to dropping off or shipping material.

ICO alumni have Library privileges for life. Access to the ICO Library catalog is available to all alumni. ICO Library staff can assist alumni with research requests as well as copy articles from our collection and mail/email them at no charge. In order to use the ICO Library's print resources, alumni can visit the Library in person or request print material from the ICO Library via the interlibrary loan services from their own local library. We will loan them the material for you at no charge.
Discounted subscriptions to VisionCite are available to all ICO alumni. Alumni are also able to view our recently digitized yearbooks from the Library website. We love our alumni!
